⚔️🛡️SALVATION🛡️⚔️
➡️Greek 4992 “defender or (by implication) defence: - salvation”
[1] The book of Philippians is one of the four books at the heart of the New Testament and deals with the believers soul, which is always the problem. Man’s soul is comprised of his mind, emotion and will.
MIND: that they may know and understand the Lord in all things concerning Him [I Corinthians 2:16; Philippians 3:10]
EMOTION: that they may love the Lord and have a heart for the Lords interests [Mark 12:30; Romans 16:4]
WILL: that they may be strong to remain with the Lord and do the things that please the Lord [Acts 11:23; Colossians 1:10; I Thessalonians 4:1]
*The willing is within; the working is without. The willing takes place in our will; indicating that God’s operation begins from our spirit and spreads into our mind, emotion and will [Romans 8]. We are children of God.
[2] Salvation comes from the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, but here the salvation comes from the operating God within us - the operating God is actually the Spirit of Jesus Christ; the Holy Spirit. The God who operates in us is the Triune God - the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit - the very God who is Christ in us and the Spirit in us. The three - Spirit, God, Jesus Christ are ONE.
[3] “And you shall love the Lord your God out of and with your whole heart and out of and with all your soul (your life) and out of and with all your mind (with your faculty of thought and your moral understanding) and out of and with all your strength. This is the first and principal commandment. [Deut. 6:4, 5.]”
[Mark 12:30 AMPC]
[4] “Do nothing from factional motives [through contentiousness, strife, selfishness, or for unworthy ends] or prompted by conceit and empty arrogance. Instead, in the true spirit of humility (lowliness of mind) let each regard the others as better than and superior to himself [thinking more highly of one another than you do of yourselves]. But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being. Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, That in (at) the name of Jesus every knee should (must) bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, And every tongue [frankly and openly] confess and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
[Philippians 2:3, 7, 9-11 AMPC]
